The Beguiled: C/D?

I'm listening to their 1993 album Blue Dirge for the first time. At times it's like early Cramps, and then when they really get going, a little like Beefheart fronting the Stooges. Though they sound just like the JSBX, I understand courtesy of AMG they predate Spencer at this blues revivalist game. But that's all I know. Can anyone else provide more info, or vouch for their other album?

I sorta understand--I'm an asshole for daring to mention them, or my description's too cliched to do them justice--somehow that translates into classic, right?

???

Uh, The Beguiled were great. It's too bad they ended too soon with the death of one of their members. I have one of their LPs, and it pretty much stands up to a lot of garage rock today, yet done more than a decade ago. Just when Orange County had a great band on the rise, too.... :(

Fu(than)ck you too, Otto!!!!
