L.A. Carnival - funk band "unearthed" on Now-Again label

They're playing live in SF at the end of May and tix go on sale Sunday. I'm considering going but I've only heard one song of theirs.

Anybody have an opinion on these guys, in regards to either their recorded output or more importantly, whether or not they deliver the goods live?

I've got the "LA Carnival would Like to Pose a Question" 2lp set and it is good. The songs are all circa 69/70, though. Don't know what they will sound like live. If you like funk, I'd say give it a shot.
Lord knows they aren't comin to Missouri.
