EAC - the best ripper/burner

Yeah, I think it's restricted to Audio CD work exclusively. Still...what a fucking great program.

No prob! I wish I still had a copy myself, but as there's no Mac version, and iTunes is just too damn easy...

Tweaking the gap between tracks requires the software be able to write to the drive in DAO (disk-at-once) mode where it writes the whole image to the CD rather than doing it track by track.

It ain't free, but I love CD Architect. But for free anything based off cddao should work (Linux, Windows, OSX primarily).

I second CD Architect. You can download the shareware limited version for free (from http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/download/step2.asp?DID=411 ), and then search the internet for an illegal cracker for full use... ;)

toast lite can but you may need to crop the actual sound file to remove gaps

Dragon Burn for mac allows you to do adjust the gaps. It's shareware, but you get a few free burns before you have to pay.

EAC is great though still, I think, at some beta v0.x stage (maybe it always will be in its free state) and not necessarily usable as a burning program with every CD writer (the v0.9 prebeta-11 I used to use didn't like my old Samsung, the v0.9 beta-4 is OK with my Plextor).

The only application I have that will happily do 'track zero' hidden tracks (my shareware CD Architect complains about burner incompatibility).
