"Men in Frocks"

Who remembers the short lived "movement" pushed by a coupla sounds hacks in the '80's? IIRC it was dave mcculloch & valac van der veene who did all the pushing, I suspect just because it would annoy G4rry bush3ll, which is a fine reason to do something obviously. Other than Charge and the Virgin Prunes, were there actually any other "men in frocks" bands at all?
