I'm not gonna lie: its not as bad as I expected. I kind of enjoyed it.

Why are they so offbeat now?

I am disappointed.

I really wanted to like it, really expected to hate it (especially after seeing them on TRL--ghoulish) and ended up liking it quite a bit. If the rest of the album was equally non-political, I'd have high expectations.

Seeing them on TRL made me a bit sad T

mike d and perry farell should form a burn out supergroup.

Mike D. looks like a soggy corn flake face.

I heard the song today, better then it should've been. we'll have to see if an album can hold up.

Either way, the video seemed fairly beastiesque. good for them.

Is it my ears, or is Yauch's voice completely shot?

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Friday, 30 April 2004 03:12 (twenty-two years ago)

It ain't just you; he's halfway to Tom Waits. Jeez.

What I do like about the song is that they go a little crazy with the ridiculous voices and inflections, which is kind of funny-slash-annoying but also leads me to wonder if they've been listening to Ludacris (owner of the year's best ridiculous inflection for the way he says "birthday SUIIIIIIIT" on Usher's "Yeah").

The beat's OK. It doesn't sound like anything in mainstream rap right now, but it's a little too party-vibe bumping for a lot of indie rap, so I'm frightened and confused.

I will also say that this is the single most incoherent thing the Beastie Boys have ever done.

I just saw the video without sound. I need to hear this WITH sound asap. I hope these guys never stop.
