having either (a) shot the other two or (b) locked the other two in a basement and forced them to listen to a tape loop of "river deep mountain high" for 72 straight hours or (c) put every decent session musician in town on an exclusive retainer, phil spector would win this one in a cakewalk.

Who is Curt Boettcher?
However, I can still assume that Spector is the awesomest of the awesome and would win for those qualities as well as the strategies that FCC outlined above.

curt boettcher = producer/songwriter = the association, the millennium, sagittarius, the ballroom, and sundry others.

seven years pass...

i picked up the best faux-boettcher 45 at a record show the other day. the sound of the 45 is fantastic. production by arnold goland who did a ton of 60s stuff but who isn't well-known today. both sides are fab.
