nothing horrible at all about that, but i don't know how well it'll eBay

Go for it - I actually like the green one. They're rare, but I don't know how in-demand they are now.

Agreed, not horrible! But you can find all the tracks on the K reissue, so not sure how marketable it is.

You might try keeping an eye on this, which is the same songs over those two 7" singles: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2265&item=4010404412&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

They got better after this stuff, I think.

it's not worth a shitload, but TGosh stuff still does o.k... i sold all of my TG vinyl a few years ago.

oh, just way too twee for my tastes.

p.s. Mike I really like your Poconos single from a couple of years ago.

OCP (OCP), Friday, 30 April 2004 15:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I contend that "Just A Dream" still holds up well. "Beatnik Boy" and "My Best Friend" aren't quite the revelations they seemed to be at the time, but they fit a specific mood very well.

(wow, thanks for the praise!)

i think its the seemingly affected sibbilance (sp?) of her vocals that grates as much as anything

amateur!st (amateurist), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:14 (twenty-two years ago)

sell it to an economics groupie.

keith m (keithmcl), Friday, 30 April 2004 22:54 (twenty-two years ago)

in a similar vein (uh, "Indie Pop Things I Have That May or May Not Be Worth Any Money") can you guys let me know if any of these are worth more than a couple of dollars?

an Aztec Camera 7-inch on Postcard (81*8) for "A Mattress of Wire"

an Orange Juice 7-inch on Postcard (80*6) from 1980.
a) simply thrilled honey
b) breakfast time

and a double a-side Buzzcocks 7-inch from 1980
a) why she's a girl from the chain store
aa) are everything

appraisals of any kind greatly appreciated!

the orange jucie one is about 10$ sometimes less, sometimes more, Aztec Camera is 15$ sometimes less sometimes more.

go to indiepages.com they have a message board where you will likely find a buyer for this stuff, i think they have a board specifically for sales.

I kind of like Beatnik Boy...it's the only TG I've heard, though. But it's interesting that a song so short can hinge upon outstaying its welcome, even with me.

Atnevon (Atnevon), Sunday, 2 May 2004 13:00 (twenty-two years ago)

it's a great song, but twee is pretty well equivalent to republican.
