and The Day Today before that? I vaguely remember reading something of that sort in last weekend's Grauniad feature

I also vaguely remember that Driver can actually sing, so this may not be the travesty-born-of-desperate-bid-to-revive-career that the above posts seem to implying

zebedee (zebedee), Friday, 30 April 2004 15:28 (twenty-two years ago)

If she'd made an album of acid techno then perhaps I'd be a little more impressed ...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 30 April 2004 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sorry I missed out on the album title suggestions, I've been waiting for the opportunity to use "A Fagment of My Invagination" for a while.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:13 (twenty-two years ago)

four months pass...
Having successfully muscled her way into the TV coverage of the Mercury Music Prize, ("Yeah, like Franz Ferdinand is like the new Must Have album with all the people I hang out with...") Ms. Driver is now scheduled to be performing live on BBC1's Jonathan Ross show on October 15.

Ooh, the anticipatory buzz is almost palpable.

So, has anyone actually heard this stuff yet?

mike t-diva (mike t-diva), Thursday, 23 September 2004 12:26 (twenty-one years ago)

From the sound of the single ("Everything I've Got In My Pocket") it's not going to be embarassing, but that's going on a short, low-quality clip.
