When I'm dead, maybe.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Alex, you were the first person I thought of when I saw this thread ;-)

noodle vague (noodle vague), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you for your deep and thoughtful question, which is so accurate and involved.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

How dare they talk about that kind of music?

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

much like your useless answer to promote this thread, ned.

fgjkfj, Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:40 (twenty-two years ago)

yay chickenshit anonyposters!

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

They entertain me, they do.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

A quick IP search entertained me even more, but I'll leave it at that.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Tease.

noodle vague (noodle vague), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

The goofy thing about this thread is that ilm has been achingly indie lately.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Aw, c'mon Ned, out these bed-wetters!

Broheems (diamond), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

was it djdee?

Sym (shmuel), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

take a look at the new questions page and count how many hip-hop threads there are, right now. Not many.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

or william wiggins?

Sym (shmuel), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

WHERE'S I LOVE GREBO!??!?!_!!#((!(*1KLJ!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:49 (twenty-two years ago)

x-post

It's not the point. 1 Hip Hop thread is the thin end of the wedge. < / irony >

noodle vague (noodle vague), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:49 (twenty-two years ago)

LONG LIEV ROCKN ROL AND RYNA ADAMZ

hata (Gear!), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:49 (twenty-two years ago)

besides, me and my stoner metal posse already have plans of making ILM the unnofficial fansite for Atomic Rooster fanciers.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Aw, c'mon Ned, out these bed-wetters!

It is in fact not a well-known poster under another person's login, just a regular anonyposter with shifting handles. But let's just say anonyposter complaining about useless posts is a bit pot-and-kettle.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

what did uh do now?

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

you don't wanna mess with George Smith, people. He knows all about chemicals and stuff.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

All right, I'll admit, we aren't all that scary.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

we are fond of the sofa.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

stoner metal, jeez. when is ILM becoming ILSM, because it sure seems to be heading that way

Gear! (Gear!), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

When is this bitch gonna be 'I Love Chamber Music'? 'I Love Skiffle'? 'I Love Hungarian Eurofolk'? Sort it out.

Barima (Barima), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

You just described Momus's next album!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

what did uh do now?

first thought that crossed my mind.

cutty (mcutt), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

WHY OH WHY DID GOATSE.CX GET TAKEN OFF OF THE INTERNET

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Momus's next album should be in Gaelic.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:54 (twenty-two years ago)

For a second I thought you typed 'in garlic.'

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

With a little melted butter.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Gaylique.

deanomgwtf!!!p%3Fmsgid%3D4581997 (deangulberry), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Momus vs Morimoto

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Flaming ass lasers for everyone!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Now them's tasty!

(Dan is about to destroy us all for good reason, I figure.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 19:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd like to give a shout-out to ILM. I've been enjoying it a lot recently.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:00 (twenty-two years ago)

when enough guilty white liberals take over.

shookout (shookout), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Nonono, everyone gets their own flaming ass laser to vaporize the original poster while doing the cufflink dance.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:01 (twenty-two years ago)

is this cass? uh is an idiot but he seems to like hip-hop, so he wouldn't start this, would he?

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:01 (twenty-two years ago)

yoyoyo Scott Seward you my boy, holla back!

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:02 (twenty-two years ago)

when enough guilty white liberals take over

I hope that's ironic, I really do.

noodle vague (noodle vague), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I just might holla. I just might.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:03 (twenty-two years ago)

astroblaster (astroblaster), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:13 (twenty-two years ago)

i know! you will reply to my thread once more. what an itching finger...

stsrtusrt, Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:25 (twenty-two years ago)

The original poster is nobody anyone knows by name because the poster has never used a consistent name. As it happens this is an x-post with the feeble squawk above, but hey, if it flatters his/her/its ego...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:26 (twenty-two years ago)

name the feeble squawk!!!

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I Love Feeble Squawking

Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:28 (twenty-two years ago)

i will scream and scream til i'm blue in the face unless the feeble squawk is named!!!! wah wah!!!!

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Feeble Squawking is the derisive nickname Stephen Hawking is called behind his back by the staff at his hacienda.

Gear! (Gear!), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:30 (twenty-two years ago)

keep posting. ned: you're important here. you've put in serious time here. i'm familiar with your work. i'm not trying to overshadow you, really.

ilm was dead to me the day rollie pimperton unconsciously called it an "indie rock board"

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:38 (twenty-two years ago)

My sister-in-law almost crashed into Stephen Hawking on her bike in Cambridge. He just pulled out in front of her in his wheelchair as she was riding like fury along the road on her way to work. She just managed to swerve at the last moment, but I have visions of him frantically typing cuss words into his keypad like a motherfucker as she loomed large in his spectacles. So, I dunno, maybe he's still bitter...

NickB (NickB), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:41 (twenty-two years ago)

meybe that nude spock/neuromancer guy is back

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:43 (twenty-two years ago)

hooray!!

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

he can tell us about his "fubu for white people" plan again.

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Surely Hawking will have his profanity preset to single button pushes?

noodle vague (noodle vague), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

If he was smart he would.

NickB (NickB), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:45 (twenty-two years ago)

It makes it easier when he's rapping along to his NWA albums.

noodle vague (noodle vague), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:45 (twenty-two years ago)

To answer the question, it's when Pinefox calls himself Blingfox.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:49 (twenty-two years ago)

whoever anono-guy is, let him please note that "Rolling 2004 Metal Thread," which is a hiphop-free vacuum (for better or worse), is coasting toward 300 answers. Dumbass paranoid "oh no when ppl talk about music I don't like it means my music is threatened blah blah" dudes

J0hn Darn1elle (J0hn Darn1elle), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 21:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, and that Dave Matthews thread has got over 1700 answers on it, okay?

noodle vague (noodle vague), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 21:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Got love for my shoes kswiss?

jubal harshaw (jube), Thursday, 13 May 2004 01:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Noodle don't play dumb, the DMB thread is googlers arguing with regulars. The metal thread has a bunch of regulars talking about metal. There's ample evidence everywhere that ilm, as a group, loves all kinds of different music. People who have an attitude problem about hiphop (which imo in the present historical moment means "people who have an attitude problem about pop music") seem to think that to celebrate hiphop's ascendance is to hate on other musics. This is horseshit, but once people start to hating on the hiphop they develop a real taste for the hatin'.

J0hn Darn1elle (J0hn Darn1elle), Thursday, 13 May 2004 02:01 (twenty-two years ago)

a real taste for the hatin'

working title for bushwick bill's comeback lp

.rob (rgeary), Thursday, 13 May 2004 02:31 (twenty-two years ago)

dude is reading my mind, I've been writing about a Bushwick solo track all day

J0hn Darn1elle (J0hn Darn1elle), Thursday, 13 May 2004 02:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I was really hoping that you were WRITING a Bushwick solo track and were going to reveal that all this time you were secretly him, but then I read closer.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Thursday, 13 May 2004 02:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd be a lot happier if J0hn was writng a Bushwick Bill song not because he actually was him, but beacuse Bushwick is a huge MGs fan.

C0L1N B3CK3TT (Colin Beckett), Thursday, 13 May 2004 02:55 (twenty-two years ago)

that whole post read like a bushwick verse, j0hn!

.rob (rgeary), Thursday, 13 May 2004 02:56 (twenty-two years ago)

well, no, it doesn't really, but i don't want to chalk it up to ridiculous psychic phenomena. i blame those ufo's over mexico.

.rob (rgeary), Thursday, 13 May 2004 02:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I think J0hn and Bushwick should do cover collab of Nancy & Lee's "I've Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me".

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Thursday, 13 May 2004 02:57 (twenty-two years ago)
