Dance Hall Crashers: Classic or Dud?

I must not have been listening to alternative rock radio at all when they had their heyday. Heard a song of theirs on the radio the other day (afraid that I don't know the title), however, and it was surprisingly rocking and well-written and had good vocals. It wasn't really very ska at all.

Any opinions?

One of those jokers in Rancid was briefly a member, if'm not mistaken. In any case, a blip on the 90's radar at best, but best avoided in any case. Too Californian for my taste.

Did a little research. The song I heard was "Enough" from the Lockjaw album. Good, no?

(BTW, I guess it does have a chords struck on upbeats "ska" guitar part.)

the girl from the band has a new band now call starranova who by all accounts are much more interesting (and not ska).

Oddly enough, there are songs on the most recent new pornographers record that sound JUST LIKE dance hall crashers.
