I'm just wrapping up my first listen of R&F and I just got Neu! 75 this weekend. The swirling electronics and delayed flute of R&F are soooo much better than the stupid synth-motorik crap that 75 seems to be infatuated with.

Listen to Neu 75 in a car at night then call me back.

Ralf & Florian is my flaveorite Kraftwerk album, I think.
!
I haven't heard Neu! 75, but I got Neu! 2 the other night, and it's pretty good. the 78rpm trax are kind've annoying, though. they break the nice mellow mood of the rest.

The first Neu! is my favorite, but 75 is near equal. Smoke a joint and go for a bikeride, you'll change your mind.

Glad someone brought up Neu! because I have a question about the Astralwerks reissue of the first album. On my copy the sound drops out for a second about 1:13 into Sonderangebot. Is this normal or is mine just screwed up? This might be a dumb question to longtime Neu! fans but when the reissue came out a few years ago it was the first time I'd ever heard the record and none of my friends own it......

Mine does that too, Aaron. :D

yeah, see it's such a good record that I'd be willing to replace it just for that but if everyone's does that then fuck it.

OT: What's up with people who mishandle CDs to the point of crap like that happening? God I hate them!

well I just hope the new Kraftwerk remasters are as perfect as possible. win some lose some, I guess.

That dropout is intentional. Rest easy, son.

Dave Segal (Da ve Segal), Saturday, 15 May 2004 23:37 (twenty-two years ago)

From allmusic.com:
"These official CD reissues, remastered by Neu! with Herbert Gronmeyer, are the first official ones. Their sound is phenomenal and <the strange dropouts and fades are intentional.> They are worthy packages. Oddly enough, after a millennial change and a constant stream of samples being taken from it, and its influence saturating both the rock and electronica scenes, it still sounds ahead of its time."
DUUUUHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
ok sorry I wasted everyone's time with that. when in doubt check all music.

More to the point, I thought Jon liked stupid synth-motorik crap more than swirling electronic pysch-kraut crap??

Sonny A. (Keiko), Thursday, 20 May 2004 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, I'm listening to OOIOO right now.

There are three categories.

stupid synth-motorik crap
swirling electronic pysch-kraut crap
jam band pysch-kraut crap
