CD-R Trading

I have a Mac and it's hard for me to get a hold of music illegally. Couple this with the fact that my local record stores don't have anything I'm looking for, and I weep silently.

So... I have about 9000 MP3's, most of which aren't very obscure and probably not in high trade demand, but I was wondering if anyone would want to be old fashioned with me and trade MP3 CD-R's? I'm really having trouble finding anything by Acid Mothers Temple, Amon Duul II, the Residents, Boredoms, Sparks. Any help would be appreciated.

Stephen Morris, are you running Mac OS X? If so, nicotine will let you use Soulseek! It is a bit complicated to setup but there is a good walk through here:

I have Nicotine but it won't ever connect for me. And it keeps making fun of me.

Nicotine is mean. I tried setting that shit up today, but I couldn't because my computer has some password I don't know.

Just installed this today:

All you need is Mac OS 10.3 and Apple's X11. You don't need Fink.

Works very well. Try it!

I'm also interested in CD-R trading. I have lots of stuff - all Amon Duul II, etc. (not from mp3's!), tons of Keiji Haino/Fushitsusha and a billion others. I'm talking actual CDs and not mp3's taken from the net. My CD collection numbers in the thousands and I'm happy to spread the love.

I desperately need copies of various Royal Trux discs, especially 'Sweet Sixteen' (cannot find this anywhere!!!!).

Anyone interested please drop me a line.

Funny, this. Not one single e-mail or thread response to my offer. I guess people only want free music if it's coming down the internet coaxial in (more likely than not) dodgy quality.

So, never mind, I guess.
