This Is A Thread About Trouble Everyday

Evidently this Philly band is going to have a video on MTV2 Europe in a few months, and their new album Days Vs. Nights is totally kicking my ass. I saw them play to a startlingly uninterested crowd here two weeks ago, the band burnt through a 20-minute set before the guitar player flung his instrument at the drum kit (old hat for some, but we don't get that kind of rambunctiousness here often). It kind of reminds me of a catchier Les Savy Fav, which personally means they're unbelievably fucking awesome.

They've got some mp3s on their site. Trouble Everyday. Anybody else even heard of them?

It was actually comforting to discover their getting a minute buzz over in Europe. I was worried that there was this stupendous distorto-danceable combo that was getting no attention whatsoever.

There's also Tindersticks album with the same name if I'm not mistaken

I'm not happy about that, because both are getting in the way of my google searches on this band.

I was in Philly this Friday when they opened for 50 Foot Wave but I decided to see Mission Of Burma instead. Glad to hear somebody else on ILX knows who they are!

anthony: BOOOOOO to you for supporting the clear channel-entangled mission of burma. but you are OK in my book otherwise because you like trouble everyday.

I've been into MoB since high school! My inner adolescent couldn't believe I'd ever get the chance to see them! Give me a break!

i cant support a band thats publicized by CC and only plays their venues, no matter how much they mean to me.

but feel free to ignore me, as the whole cc issue is a touchy one here in philly.

ok plus I had no idea about the CC brouhaha (wow, I can't believe MoB would make their radar!).
