I'd have to vote for 90s - how else to explain John Digweed?

probablt the 00s - i know its not famous for drugs, etc... but in reality i assumed that drug consumption is on the rise over time, at least in the uk where e's are like £2 a pop

for example, the 60s maybe famous for smoking dope, but loads more people smoke dope now than in the 60s

possibly the 00s in number, but i think not in intensity. ie, i think the increased normality and number of people doing drugs, means the intense, or heavy duty nature of them has dimished. a lot of people doing a little. the visibility drops somewhat.

i think my answer would be the 90s thuogh, with the rave explosion, and suburbanization of dance culture at the beginning of the 90s, then gradually broadening out to its highest level, and all revolving around drug use, rather than drug use being an adjunct to it.

my answer is UK specific though
