Who would like to see Outkast with me, this Friday at 7AM?

If I have the guts, my day will involve getting up at 6:00AM to see Outkast, walking half a block to work, working, and then walking a half block to the Magnetic Fields concert.

Concerts in the morning weird me out, except of course when it's at the tail end of an event that has lasted all night and somebody is doing the "good morning go home" set.

I'm guessing that my chances of getting to where I work afterwards by say 9:15AM are pretty remote....

I find the idea of concerts held before the band or the audience could possibly be awake very disturbing. Seeing Outkast before going to work in the morning would also sort of throw me off.

(Nick OTM, I did see a Rebirth Brass Band show that started at 4:30 am and went straight through until 6:00 and it was off the hook).

I'm there right now! (aah, the joys of wireless). Not much going on so far, just soundchecking, and fewer people than I thought would show up.

Sooo, that was fun... Big Boi came on with a crew of big lads in black martial arts outfits (who were hilariously underrehearsed) and did "The Way You Move" which was pretty good -then andre came on and did "Roses" with a bunch of skinny boys in baby blue blazers (with "the love below" and an upside-down heart embroidered on the back) and a very saucy and petulant looking young vixtress who was sort of acting out the lyrics . Big Boi and crew then returned and started shoving the love below lads around, and a bottle fight ensued, with nobody even pretending to mime anymore. Class!
AND, someone was giving out free energy drinks called "Crunk!!!" (those are not my exclamation marks, by the way)

They also gave up pretending to lip synch after about 10 seconds. At least Andre did.
