Linda McCartney's "Wide Prairie": Classic or Dud?

Picked this up today, out of curiosity. Haven't gotten passed the first four tracks, just yet, but "New Orleans" sounds practically like a John Cale song. Linda plays a mean mellotron on the title track; too bad about her country vocals though (even if they're meant to be tongue-in-cheek)...

What do you think about this one?

Okay, have gotten a bit further along on this one. Her singing's pretty weak. "The Light Comes from Within" was tough to get through...

Skip Cook of the House.

You have been warned.

Just listened to it now. I am going to pretend that I just imagined that song.

was told about a particular Linda McCartney boot that was her isolated live vocal track from Wings' concerts. thankfully never heard it though. not much of a sadist these days.

one year passes...
I'm kinda seriously addicted to "Oriental Nightfish" right now. you can find it on bumrocks.com. it's a great mix of Stories' "Brother Louie" with a Grace Jones/Nico teutonic "singer" on top. so great. was there anything similar to this on the rest of the album?

also, aren't some of the tracks supposed to be produced by Lee Perry?

Can't believe the thread has lasted nearly 2 years without someone posting it.
