Opera and Rap

One of my colleagues, who regards me as his source to music after 1970, has asked me about the title of a new rap/opera combo, which he supposedly heard on the radio the other day. We all remember Warren G's Prince Igor stunt, but does anyone know of any newer, or recent, stuff? If you can help me, you will contribute too saving my street cred at work. That's also something.

While not big on opera, I will say that saying you hate all rap is generally a statement of extreme ignorance. As the article mentioned, there are many different flavours of the genre. While I can't stand the macho posturing, mindlessness and misogyny of, say, Nicki Minaj or Lil Wayne, I can fully appreciate the intelligence, poetry and social conscience of KRS-One, The Roots and Jurassic Five, to name a few. It's true there's a lot of garbage out there in rap music, but there are some real treasures as well.
