"When you are touring it kind of interrupts the writing process, so because I did two tours in a row - Vespertine and Greatest Hits - I'm going to reward myself and do two albums in a row. I'm going to try it for the first time just to see, because I always do an album, finish it, mix it, then go on tour and I'm always wondering 'what if I had of stayed home one more month?' Because sometimes you do your best stuff after you have mixed, when you are just lubricated."

Thanks, DJ Martian and Tiny Mix Tapes.

I like that last bit of imagery.

whoa, obviously Matthew Barney has had waywaywayway too much influence on her...

"Barney drew on his jock background (and revealed his enduring interest in Vaseline as a creative medium) in his 1989 senior thesis, Field Dressing, a two-part video project featuring Barney raising and lowering his nude body over a vat of petroleum jelly that he periodically smeared over his eyes, nose, mouth, and genitals, and then a wedding gown-clad Barney battling football training equipment."

I liked Vespertine and "It's In Our Hands", but based on the presence of Dokaka I'm not looking forward to this at all.

And I hate. Matthew Barney. So. Much. And it's not jealousy! (Well, a little bit, but still, what a wanker.)

Apparently she is not releasing the complete singles/b-sides/remixes/white labels box. Although since it was probably going to run hundreds of dollars, maybe it is for the best.

"Vaseline"/"Vespertine" - just a coincidence? I think not.

bjork speaking coherently about her music sort of ruins it for me, to be honest.
