This is why booking a club is non-stop fun. anyways, a friend of mine who runs a local joint just got this email, reprinted here for your smirking benefit:

Founded in early 2002 the band MY OWN PR1SON consist of four talented musicians who bring over 20yrs of musicianship each to the stage and who’s musical styling have brought them together for one cause, to pay Tribute to rocks #1, most enigmatic band,,, CREED.
The band My Own Pr1son has so championed the music & the messages of unity & understanding of CREED in that the fans are treated not only to the sonic tapestry of CREED, but to THE CREED SHOW at it's most intimate level. This has quickly led them to develop a very loyal following through out the U.S. Midwest. The loyalty is mutual in this spectacular and most earnest tribute to CREED.
The edgy guitars of Mike Murphy (The Simpletons, After Never) echo the raw tones of Mark Tremonti's Guitar as the rhythm section is held stern and solid by dead on Drummer Dan Walters (S&M, Stop The Messenger) & Bassist Mario Contreras (Stop The Messenger, MCR).
The band and audiences are then led through the melodic vocal paintings of a CREED performance by front man Steve Kay (Jinx, Blue Diver) whose thrilling vocal tones and stage mannerisms express the soul intent of Scott Stapp's range and performance bringing an evening of CREED at its finest.

they say they have twenty years of experience playing music. is that, like, in total? so about five years each? or are they like late-30somethings who are jumping on the creed bandwagon now that warrant covers aren't paying the bills?

Hey, they're probably a great band .. they've got ex-memebers of Blue Diver, After Never, and Stop The Messenger. And as if that weren't enough, they have the songwriting POWER of CREED. They are going to fucking rock any joint they set foot in...

Hey, hey, lay off these guys. In all fairness to them, they actually have over 2000 years of music experience each, and are the ONLY Creed cover band who has opened for Jesus.
