Anyone know when this is coming out? I saw a mention of this on the Roadrunner site a couple of months back and then nothing else. It's all I have to hope for until Chuck Eddy writes a book on Tesla, you know.

Yeah, I just got promo guff on it today:
RELAPSE RECORDS TO RELEASE CD COMPANION COMPILATION TO 'CHOOSING DEATH:
THE IMPROBABLE HISTORY OF DEATH METAL & GRINDCORE' BOOK
Relapse Records will release a companion CD compilation to coincide
with the release of metal journalist Albert Mudrian's book Choosing
Death: The Improbable History of Death Metal & Grindcore this fall.
Titled Choosing Death: The Original Soundtrack, the 20-track CD will
aurally illustrate Mudrian's tome with tracks from the biggest and most
influential artists of the death metal and grindcore genres, including
several tracks exclusive to the compilation. Among the highlights slated
to appear on the Choosing Death CD are never-before-heard songs from
NIHILIST (pre-ENTOMBED), SUFFOCATION and PIG DESTROYER, as well as
classic tracks from MORBID ANGEL, CARCASS, CANNIBAL CORPSE and many
more. Choosing Death: The Original Soundtrack is slated for a September
28th, 2004 release date via Relapse.

I also heard a rumor that Feral House received a cease-and-desist after the author received death threats from former Entombed frontman L.G. Petrov for stealing the best specimen in his collection of goat skulls and an inflammatory passage in the book where Entombed are described as "suckling the major label tit" during the recording of "Wolverine Blues."
