I'm listening to this jazz mix now and, considering that I just tossed together a bunch of tracks that I like, I'm sort of shocked at how many similarities there are between most of the tracks. Almost zero piano players (only the Bad Plus and Kenny Garrett tracks), mostly straight eighth notes (not swung), lots of bass vamps and minor keys. I guess my tastes are more predictable than I thought.

Up, before I go to the post office in a couple hours.

I played this at work today, and a few people began randomly dancing. Most were chair dancing, but one woman was actually two-stepping on her way up to the counter.

Sorry... it was the Brass CD. Although it would have been funny to see somebody two-stepping to Happy Apple.

Since it looks like you've already mailed out your mixes, any chance you'd be willing to rip and upload it somewhere?
I was just in New Orleans last month for their Jazz & Heritage Fest, and I'd be interested to hear this....
Thanks.

Ha, that's great.

I don't really have any webspace for that, but I still have a couple copies since I couldn't give them away the first time around. E-mail me your address.
