List other examples, but please also discuss the tendency as a whole - is it new? Does it have a tradition? How does it Fit In with Assorted Things?

(more serious answer: I won't argue w/ an expert on whether or not Grime and Eski Beat are just new *kinds* of Hip-Hop or something different, alltogether, but I think that it's not crazy to say that they take most, if not all, of their lyrical/aesthetic cues from Hip-Hop, i.e. mentioning of the game, crews, street knowedlege, etc. as such I think a Grime artist releasing a song w/ subject matter such as this might still be relevant to a discussion of its place in Hip-Hop culture.)
