These songs are just so beautiful with amazing textures and arrangements. I'm often baffled as to why Detroit techno is given so much credit in the 'electronica' story in light of the complexity and futurism of early Chicago tracks.

the thing about "Anytime" is that it's not even really a 'speed garage' track. It's pretty much a deep house Strictly Rhythm dub that somehow snuck onto every 'Speed Garage' comp!

Also, mullygrubber, the tracks on my second complation are mostly much more recent than that. I made the first mix to specifically put my mind into mid-eighties visionary mode.
