dumbest label name ever, great stuff. My faves are all the Sami Kovikko releases, mostly because they strike the best balance between 'way out there glitch tech house' and 'tasteful smooth micro house'

Yeah I love Koivikko.

super sami ... his web site includes excellent mixes by sami himself www.ee.oulu.fi/~sakoivik/

also i recommend my shitkatapult favorites phon.o, andreas ilar, apparat, das bierbeben. especially phon.o - very good tunes.

Do Salmiakki's tracks melt into one another, or have gaps in between? I've been trying to acquire the disc at a reasonable price, but might just download the iTunes version (in the meantime).

yea you can get the itunes version for about 10 dollars less than you are going to end up paying anywhere else.

they also have the richard davis album on punkt in there somewhere

Actually I was kind of bluffing when I listed Shitkatapult as one of the three best electronica labels. The only thing I have from them is the Apparat album, which is actually pretty good, but probably not grounds for making such a sweeping statement.

Salamiki is totally mixed nader.

Tim, thanks for the full disclosure. Nothing quite like the iPod/iTunes mp3 "gap" to kill playback continuity.

five years pass...

The Notic Nastic album is rapidly becoming a favorite.

ILM...the board brave enough to ask the question, "What's good coming out of the Shitkatapult"

brad whitford's impotent rage (underrated aerosmith albums I have loved), Sunday, 2 May 2010 17:32 (sixteen years ago)
