It's 6:07 a.m. I've been awake since noon yesterday. I partied tonight and am still awake from it (I did some coke). I'm probably going to sleep in an hour or two, but then again, I'm not tired, exactly.

You?

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

oh fuck this should really be on ILE. SORRY everyone.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

no this is good too
I woke up at six o clock
for cartoon watching

but then fell asleep
on the couch (on father's day,
my kids let me snore)

now it's eight thirty
checking fantasy baseball,
then hit 'new answers'

Begs2Differ (Begs2Differ), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:28 (twenty-two years ago)

The time is 11:30pm, I've been up since nine this morning and i'll be going to bed around 7:00am. I'm not doing anything special - just joining a friend who does radio from 2am to 6am. I'm not actually tired now, but my body is already feeling pre-emptive fatigue.

Jedmond (Jedmond), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I woke up at 8AM but I'm still sitting here arseing about. Need to go buy minimal groceries and spend the rest of the day doing laundry (which leaves me free to read, listen to music, be online, etc.)

Rockist Scientist (rockistscientist), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I've got leftover tomato pie in the refrigerator. Everything is alright.

Rockist Scientist (rockistscientist), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:42 (twenty-two years ago)

it's about 9:50pm on sunday night here. i've been up about 13 hours. i'm cramming for an exam tomorrow, dunno how long i'll stay up for. i'm scared. so i'm addressing my fear with avoidance strategies such as surfing the internet instead of studying.

gem (trisk), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

It's 8:49 am. I've been awake for five minutes. I'm sober. I'm going to go running, play my church gig, get my usual Sunday pancake brunch with the trumpet player from my band, practice with a metal band, finish my solo track, then come back and play Halo.

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:52 (twenty-two years ago)

up since 6:30, reading and watching cartoons w/lovebug jr. Went grocery shopping. Bought some shrimp for indulgent dinner. Its now 945 AM. Finished the Times and started persuing the Net. Will head outside soon, it's a nice breezy non-humid day. A mellow sunday.
I don't miss staying up all night and partying but I don't regret it either. Matos made me feel slightly nostalgic (sigh).

lovebug starski, Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Matos makes me want to go back to bed.

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:58 (twenty-two years ago)

It's 9:57, I woke up at 9:28. The oldies station is playing a Father's Day Oldies set. Since I am meeting my father for brunch, I didn't drink much last night. Fuck, now they're playing Harry Chapin.

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:59 (twenty-two years ago)

It's midnight, I've been up since 11.21 (or thereabouts...), worked from midday to 5 o'clock (selling records, listened alternately to Jonathan Richman and Slayer's "Seasons in the Abyss" the whole day almost), went out for a few beers and here I am, ready for bed.

OCP (OCP), Sunday, 20 June 2004 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

It's 10:10 A.M. amd I just got up. I got to sleep in for the first time in a long time and it felt really good.

scott seward (scott seward), Sunday, 20 June 2004 13:13 (twenty-two years ago)

happy fathers day! sleeping late is the best present for the parent of a young child. I slept til ten a couple Sundays ago and my wife pointed out that was the latest I'd risen in ten years. Of course, the night before was also the drunkest I'd been in years.

lovebug starski, Sunday, 20 June 2004 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

It's about 3:30pm; I've been up since 10:30, had to go out and fix someone's bathtaps, and now I'm sitting around thinking about getting some more tidying done, thinking about doing some reading, trying to convince myself I don't want a cigarette yet, watching the rain suddenly start falling thick and vertical. Not so much tired as lazy; at a loose end.

cis (cis), Sunday, 20 June 2004 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

around 7 hours, 15:48, I feel okay.

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 20 June 2004 13:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Well now it's 8:18 am and while I was up two hours back, that was mostly out of sheer reflexiveness since I get up at 6 every weekday for work. But after a quick check of e-mail and the like I went back to sleep and got the rest of drowsiness out of my system. I am feeling the need of a shower.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 20 June 2004 14:19 (twenty-two years ago)

5.00pm now. Woken just before 11 this morning by my daughter phoning from a traffic jam on the M5 to wish me happy fathers' day. Several cups of coffee + ciggies, then some Photoshop work that has to be finished for tomorrow morning. Baked a sultana cake (yum!). Watched a bit of Summer Holiday on UK Gold, then dragged myself back to the computer. Montaging a double page spread of heated towel rails while listening to Indie Pop Rocks on Soma FM. Shitty weather today, so I'm not unhappy to be stuck indoors.

chris j (chris j), Sunday, 20 June 2004 14:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Back from grocery shopping. Fresh Fields is carrying whole brown mustard seeds again--finally! I like to add them to my olive oil/lemon juice dressing. I'm drinking Pepsi, which may be a mistake (i.e., might keep me awake later), but I don't have anything else cold to drink (well could have had a Sprite, which I hate) and I thought I could use one last shot of caffeine for the day. Muffins waiting to be eaten. By 1:00 I plan to have a load of laundry going.

Rockist Scientist (rockistscientist), Sunday, 20 June 2004 15:30 (twenty-two years ago)

This thread makes me think of Frank O'Hara's "I do this, I do that" poems.

Rockist Scientist (rockistscientist), Sunday, 20 June 2004 15:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I stayed up until 4am last night and woke up at noon, smoked a bowl, now I'm hungry.

Don't do coke, it's a rotten drug. Coke=the perfect illustration of the law of diminishing returns.

shookout (shookout), Sunday, 20 June 2004 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I got up at 9:30am, meant to get up at 8 but there was a brown-out and the clock got wiped out. Watched the worst movie ever (Identity Crisis) and the worst TV special ever (Star Wars Holiday Special) last night with my downstairs neighbors and their friends (who hadn't seen either). Had to clean my apt and write a brief review of To The 5 Boroughs for the radio station before meeting my family for brunch this morning. Now I am stuffed to the gills, at work and thankful that few people need to study at an Earth & Mineral Sciences library on a Sunday in the summer.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 20 June 2004 16:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Matos, coke ain't no good! Anyway I had a similar night though having partied and ingested some rum and coke, and I went home after ending up on a porch with some girls who kept trying to get me to sing along with them, but since I wasn't down for The Golden girls them song I split. went home, listened to half of the new Wilco, and passed out.

Gear! (Gear!), Sunday, 20 June 2004 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I met donut bitch at a party last night!!

it's 6:30 now.. I've only been up for like 5 hours

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 20 June 2004 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

It is 7:40 PM. I woke up at noon cuz today is my last day of uenmployment and so I figured I'd sleep real late. I was up 'til 4:30 last night tho.
I just came home from my cousin, who turns 20 in two days. A few relatives were there. Drank coffee, ate cake. Came home, waiting for Spain-Portugal to start, decided to check ILX.

hedgehogofdeath, Sunday, 20 June 2004 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

It is currently 2:21PM. Woke up about an hour ago. Went to bed last night as the birds started chirping.

David Allen (David Allen), Sunday, 20 June 2004 17:21 (twenty-two years ago)

i've been up for about 8 and a half hours - went to bed at 4am last night for no good reason. it's 8:25pm now. i'm doing alright. i think i'll call up a friend and ask if they want to go out.

m. (mitchlnw), Sunday, 20 June 2004 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Got up at 7:30 a.m., now it's 2:10. Got brunch on the couch from wife and daughter. I just finished pinching the blooms off the basil plants in my herb garden, and my fingers smell better than sex.

Rock Hardy (Rock Hardy), Sunday, 20 June 2004 18:10 (twenty-two years ago)

it's nearly 6 pm. i've been awake for 13 hours, and 11 of them have been spent in the basement; it's been mostly darkroom time, developing rolls and rolls of film. i felt perfectly fine until i walked upstairs for the first time in six hours and realized I was dizzy and hadn't eaten since 7. my fingers are wrinkled. i'm drinking bourbon & black cherry soda. i want to mow the lawn barefoot and loaded while the day is loooooooooooong.

Evanston Wade (EWW), Sunday, 20 June 2004 20:53 (twenty-two years ago)

ive been up since about 11AM UK time and will probably be up til about 2am as i have deadlines to meet and am a lazy bastard.

dickvandyke (dickvandyke), Sunday, 20 June 2004 21:00 (twenty-two years ago)

it's 6:10 p.m. and i feel surprisingly good despite drinking an incredible amount of rye and beer last night. i was at a friend's birthday party, which centred around her new hot tub.
the mix of people was strange - a smattering of old friends and the couples she and her husband hang out with.
when the wives poured into the hot tub, all of the husbands hooted, hollered and whistled, pulling out cameras to take a few quick snaps. it felt like a swingers convention . i thought they were going to put their keys in a bowl.
now i'm at the office to finish a story and watching the u.s. open.

BanjoMania (Brilhante), Sunday, 20 June 2004 21:09 (twenty-two years ago)

and i've been up for seven hours or so.

BanjoMania (Brilhante), Sunday, 20 June 2004 21:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I stayed up till five in the morning and woke up at 1:30. It's 3:11pm now. It's hot here so I ate a bowl of watermelon and drank some lemonade. I need to take a shower as soon as my other pair of shorts are clean. Need to buy more shorts for summer.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 20 June 2004 21:12 (twenty-two years ago)

5:00 PM. Up since 2 PM. Stayed up until 5 AM last night drinking (my tally was about 12 beers) and listening to Blues Before Sunrise. A typical Saturday, in other words. I wanted to listen to the Lady Ms. Lurex on the net, but apparently it didn't come together for her.

Now watching the U.S. Open. This course is a joke. Mickelson playing strong, but Goosen doesn't want to let him have it. After this is over I will (1) call my dad, (2) go to the store to by chicken for grilling, (3) grill and eat the chicken while watching Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN, (4) go watch the Sunday night jam session down the street at the Velvet Lounge. A perfect Sunday.

Go Lefty!!

Broheems (diamond), Sunday, 20 June 2004 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

buy chicken, even.

Broheems (diamond), Sunday, 20 June 2004 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

it is 8.23 am and i am at work. got up at 5.20am for coffee and toast after a bad night of disturbing dream-after-disturbing dream, rode my bike to the station, had a very cramped train ride listening to old transmat 12's on my walkman.

its fucking monday.
