so the v early stuff like pump panels ego acid, and equinox - pollux (with a freddie fresh tech track on the other side!) are classicm, of course, but i kind of forgot about them, but Headrooms ride the threshold, off the last jeff mills mix, is on synewave, and i like that a lot

so, are synewave still on top of game? and whats to look out for

so, ride the threshold is apparently from the burning angels vol2 12, from 02

anyone else think that bang the acid is kind of overrated?

i really liked a lot of this stuff (and knew this would be one of your threads, gareth). definitely rate all the subtractive synthesis 12s. loved ego acid and bang the acid, though that was a lot less textured and lacked the intricacy of the former. not so familiar with new stuff.

they seemed to jettison that maximalist acid sound very early on, and i hoped the label was going to work in an Afghan Acid style, after the first few releases, but that never really happened:(

so, it was good to hear this headroom track, of course, its not a 303basher, like the early stuff, but it does make me interested in the synewave stuff of the last few years

dave, your assistance is required on this thread

what's the problem, gareth? if it's the track ID thing i'm a bit buggered as i don't have slsk, so i can't download the set (or did you just need me to punch someone in the face?!)

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Thursday, 24 June 2004 11:10 (twenty-one years ago)

but the tracks are mp3s which you can download directly! no slsk involved!

ah right, i'll check it out when i get home from work

ok, i mp3ed 3 separate tracks from it, and i shall cut out the a 4th tonite, and upload also
