fsuk 1 - the reason people started making fun of big beat. ok not the mix but the tracks on there. just endless, pointless sampled hiphop breaks and "wacky" noises, frantic basslines and directionless propulsion. it's a horrible mess, not cool at all.
fsuk 2 - much much much better. waaay harder to find. narrows the focus down to really corny 80s hiphop-centric electro and urban takeover styled d+b and triangulates all the big beat points between. the best part of both discs is where they break out from straight big beat into electro or jump-up. they could have made it 1000x better by focusing on electro and jump-up and just leaving out the big beat middle ground.
fsuk 3 - obviously the best in the series.
fsuk 4 - the first disc is pretty good, isn't it?? the second disc is let down by the big block of nu skool breaks in the middle, though. he should've just kept playing house anthems until the d+b bit at the end.

looks like others are getting the FSUK3 demand, as i have seen this go for £1 in previous auctions.
still loving this mix series i have to admit for when i just want beats/noise/loops to work to. of course, vahids breakdown is spot on.
