Rock Bastard, Wednesday, 23 June 2004 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

No, Ned will still be sad. He just is.

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Those famewhores need the money too much for this to be permanent.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 14:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Not surprised. Strays didn't especially wow me.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Patrick Terence Joseph Dobbin (Paddy), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

No, Ned will still be sad. He just is.

Hey, you're mean.

As for this announcement, not a moment too soon.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Ha! I was originally going to type something nice but unfunny. Nice and unfunny doesn't perpetuate the life of a thread, though.

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:28 (twenty-one years ago)

They should have released "Just Because" as a single and scrapped the album, that song was dope.

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

And yet no Eric A bassline = TRASH. I admit to having bias here.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Word. That was the only track that I thought nailed the rush they used to give me...

Naive Teen Idol (Naive Teen Idol), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:34 (twenty-one years ago)

i know, the worst part was that i heard it on the local hard rock station and was kinda blown away and suddenly thought "wow maybe they do have their shit together" which unfornunately raised my expectations for that snoozer of an album...

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

not so fast

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Um, am I missing something, or should I just read that entire thread?

Naive Teen Idol (Naive Teen Idol), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

(I just noted the discussion that began at the link, beginning with "But the worst part is this probably means there'll be another Jane's Addiction record to offset the ton of money PF lost".)

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 16:52 (twenty-one years ago)

jane's additcion
big influence on the chili's? thought it would have been the other way around

well, uh, you could say that JA influenced the mid90s RHCP sound, since, uh, Mr. Electra etc.

Huk-El (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I could eat 30 burritos in one hour and I still wouldn't be able to give a shit.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 20:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Lovely.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 21:48 (twenty-one years ago)

"And yet no Eric A bassline = TRASH. I admit to having bias here."

Testify brotherman! You are not alone in that bias.
