Apparently he died of natural causes just minutes after their set on Sunday night.

Very sad.

I dunno, these 'news' threads happen and you never know what to do with them. I mean, yeah its interesting and all sympathies to all concerned, but what do you do/say?

We could talk about Matt Bellamy's jet pack.

Huey (Huey), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 08:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Isn't he one of only a handful of registered UK jet pack owners? He goes flying all over the Devon moors, apparently.

This is really sad actually, even though I'm not keen on Muse musically. I was at school with Muse and while I didn't really know Dom (he's a year older than me), he always seemed like the quietest, least nutjob member of the band. The fact that I was at school with him and my dad is the same age as his is quite unsettling.

Is Matt Bellamy still using Gavin Rossdale's stylist from 1998?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Probably, aye.

Bellamy was one of those kids at school that you just could. not. get. on. with. Surprisingly. Dom was a good guy.

Is Gavin Rossdale still using Michael Hutchence's stylist from 1986?

Huey (Huey), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:11 (twenty-one years ago)

thats tuff stuff. from career highlight to personal tragedy all within a few minutes. damn.
i wanted to be impressed with Muse on sunday .. and after their opening 5 mins it almost happened. then after 10 mins an almighty headache kicked in and i realised that i would never enjoy their stuff again. shame. their microphone stands were awesome ..

I Michael Hutchence still using Bob Geldoff's beachball from 1997?

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Is Bob Geldof still waiting for you to send your fookin' money?

Huey (Huey), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd bet Muse's performance at Glasto was massive for their hardcore fans.

For me, I had been ignoring all of the signs that I should not like their latest record as much as I do, but unfortunately his stage getup and the mic stands killed it for me. I also think I had the same headache as Mark E at that point. I had meant to head over and catch Orbital, but was so ruined by the headache and disappointment that I cashed it in for the night.
