8Ball & MJG - Memphis City Blues

At first I thought 'The Streets' was the best song from Livin' Legends, but this is perfect. Double time beat with all the classic Mid-90's south noises on it; electric guitar, church organ, walking funk bassline, old blind man singing --- 8ball & MJG throw their hood up, talk about the old days, the kind of music they grew up listening to, what they do for fun in Memphis, what kind of people they beat up, pimping, cars and cars. It's very good old man rap.

Matt, you should check out their new album on Bad Boy, Living Legends. There's a few terrible crunk songs on there but the rest is these beautiful UGK/Master P style perfect down south ghetto songs. A good Madd rapper skit nall.
