Is "buggery" a word that English papers typically use? I thought it was slang or something. Anyway, Nina Simone's version of "Everyone's Gone to the Moon" almost brings tears to my eyes; something that doesn't happen often.

The original "Everyone's Gone To The Moon" is charming, as is "It's Good News Week" incidentally.

Did King actually write the tune for "Everyone's Gone To The Moon"? I was always under the impression that the tracks producer Brian Meek had a bit of input into it at the very least...

BTW Yes, English newspapers like to use the word "buggery" a lot. Any excuse will do, especially if it's a case like this... Probably brings back fond memories for the hacks of their public school days or something!!! Not just newspaper folk, but also MPs as well!!! Any debate even remotely involving a whiff of gay rights and you have Conservative MPs queuing up to use their favourite swearword with impunity in the Mother of Parliaments!!!!! The Lords are even worse!!! But then again, that's a bit like stating that people from Doncaster might find the Atlantic Ocean a bit wet!!!

I mean it , this is going to get me flamed but there seems to me a difference in Gary Glitters tastes (6 years -9 years) and Kings (14- 17) . In Canada 16 is legal. Now i think it is sick, disgusting and wrong for a huge variety of reasons (mostly to do with power games ) but there is a difference ?

Yes, Anthony, of course there's a difference. A 16 or 17 year old has been through puberty, and is able to process what sex is about, unlike an 8 year old. Whether or not someone from that older age group is ready for sex, or is able to understand the motivations of a much older man is another story.

BTW, what exactly is "sick, digusting and wrong"? If you were, say, 19 years old, and you had sex with a 17 year old (legal in Canada), that's sick and wrong? What if you were 25 and with the 17 year old? At what point is it really sick and wrong?
