Since the other poor Mick thread disappointed me, I have started this one. This is where you berate the ginger one till the proverbial cows come home. AND I'D LOVE THE THOUGHT OF COMING HOME TO YOU. thats one line thats sticking in my head and I'm shuddering.

It's a Simply Red revival and everyones invited.

I just remember The Hair (the horror, the horror...) and this quote he had about not dating women who wore makeup because he wanted to be able to lick their face. Bleurgh, that was not a mental image I needed.

Oh, and the music was seriously Poor. But you knew that.

Mick Hucknall and David Coverdale should marry have babies and do duets. easy hair metal listening.

One thing that sticks in my head when I think of Hucknall is the front cover of one of the singles he did with his first band, the Frantic Elevators. It was him sticking a gun into his mouth and grimacing. An apt image, as this is what many of us here would often consider doing when confronted with one of his piss-soul songs dribbling out of the speakers at the local Pizza Hut or PA system of a shopping center or car radio or etc.

For me, Mick's hair in the Fairground video ranks right up there in the top ten worst of all time.

A ginger Jesus anyone?

I just remembered this from The Day Today:

"In the Guardian... Elastic Song Strangles Hucknall..."

Yeah--say what you want about Mick Hucknell, he's involved with the Blood and fire reggae reissues label so he can't be all that bad. Granted, listening to him croon "I wanna fall from the stars, straight into your arms" makes me gag, I'll admit.

"I feeeeEEEEEEeeel younnnnnnnnnng, i hope ya compre heeeeennnnnnnnd."

need I say more?

Oh yeah and collaboration with Lauryn Hill, Mick goes ghetto.

Ronan, Wednesday, 21 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Good of him to do the Tony Ferrino thing though. Hugely underrated, I thought.

"Simply Mick" etc.

Did *anyone* who bought Stars crib what "Wonderland" was supposedly about?

Since the other poor Mick thread disappointed me I want to reply to this with sass and wit, but alas i'm just shit

No I meant cos I thought of Mick Hucknall and then it was about Mick Jagger. Not a slur on the thread as such.
