It's to the point where I expect it from anyone on a major. But even the Futureheads web site does it too. What about freedom of choice??!?

That's on the DEVO website.

Drives me nuts, too. I'm often listening to music on my computer and then I'm hit with something I don't want to hear. At least most of them have easily-located stop buttons, but couldn't it be a big "Play" button instead, so that quiet would be the default?

The worst is when you're trying to secret-surf at work and that shit comes on your speakers full-blast.

Ugh. Dud. The now-long-out-of-date "official" Killing Joke website (along with being a flash-choked nightmare) is way guilty of this. At home, it wakes the baby. At work, it alerts all and sundry that somebody isn't exactly burning the candle at both ends in the toil department.

Why don't you just turn the volume down you fucking faggots

We're too busy having hot male-on-male anal sex.

This is usually a bad thing, but searching for Stanton Warriors led me to the 679recordings.com and their autoplay led me to Annie and Futureheads!

Sometimes, I really like this. Didn't the Warp website used to do this? Very pleasant. The MUTEK website used to play cool stuff as well. Same for the beyond awesome Brighter Death Now website.
