Best Jamaican Studio/Producer band?

I'm not really going out on a limb here, but there's no way I can say anyone but the Upsetters. Even though the lineup was basically whoever was in the studio when Perry was behind the board, their sound is just so exceptionally great. And Return Of Django and Eastwood Rides Again are two of my all time favorite instrumental LPs.

A lonely tear is rolling down my cheek, seeing that this thread has gotten no responses.

I think my favorite would be the Aggrovators. Or maybe the Soul Vendors. Or possibly the Roots Radics. Wait, no, the Revolutionaries.
Okay, today's answer is the Roots Radics, because I love the tone of the bass and the schwip-schwip sound of Style Scott's hi-hat.

More people should sample the Roots Radics. Their drum patterns are very similar to hip hop, even down to the way they're EQ'd.
But beyond the way the group sounds, texture-wise (cause that's more the result of the producer/engineer than the band), I love how HARD their beats (meaning the bass n drums) are, and the contrast of the (generally) sweet, melodious flourishes that the guitar and keyboards provide. The bassist and the drummer are just fantastic at using negative space.
