My wife and I were trying to come up with as many as we could as we drove up / down Lake Shore Drive for the 43rd time in our move this weekend.

Here are some we remember:

Thompson Twins
Specials
(English) Beat
General Public
Fine Young Cannibals
Haircut 100

What others?

Arcadia!

OK, I get that Thin Lizzy are Irish, and Nick Cave is Australian... but many of the Bad Seeds are from England, are they not?

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Having a black drummer (they've got rhythm you know) was very very popular in the UK in the 80s

Style Council (DC Lee)

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know who's in the Bad Seeds these days but Barry Adamson's the only Briton I can think of who was in them. As for Thin Lizzy, well they had Brian Robertson, who is Scottish and is Gary Moore not from Belfast and therefore British too?

Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 15:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Southern Death Cult

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 16:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Were A.R. Kane not all black? Crap band no matter what.
