there's a german power/classic metal band that's got the whole pirate schtick down cold, i think they're Running Wild, not sure...i've even read that their fans dress up as scourge of the sea for their shows and the band encourages this (the guy writing that had somebody at the show by his side with "a paper parrot in his shoulder", that cracked me up)
