CALVIN JOHNSON is a living legend by any definition, having founded both K Records & Beat Happening back in the early 80's - not to mention the Halo Benders (with Built to Spill's Doug Martsch) & Dub Narcotic Sound System in the 90's. Love or hate Calvin or what he helped create - he has always had a knack for writing clever and catchy songs with great sexy attitude and swaggering charm - not to mention awesome dance moves. Calvin plays solo tonight - and with any luck will be playing a few songs from the way way back Beat Happening catalog - I'll be gunning for "Bonfire".
