Dead subject, I know - but has anyone bought the new London Calling reissue yet?

I'm curious about the quality of the 'bonus' material, including the DVD.

No speculation, please (there's two gigantic and annoying threads for that), just firsthand accounts from those of you who have already got it.

The demos and alternate takes are exactly the kind of stuff bootlegging is supposed to cover: so-so recordings of half-thought out material. That said, hearing such familiar songs (and a few unfamiliar ones) in their raw state is always interesting to me. But will I go back to that second disc that often? Doubtful.

I've got it but I haven't listened to it yet, although I did watch the three videos that were includeded on the DVD last night. London Calling is pretty good but Train In Vain and Clampdown are just fairly unexceptional live footage.

I'm only mentioning this in the hope that my contribution will help to turn this into a third gigantic and annoying thread.

I'm sure Josh is right about the Vanilla Tapes - they may be what I've bought the set for but I very much doubt that I'll actually (want to) listen to them very often.
