Borbetomagus, at the empty bottle, and you and me

Don DIETRICH and Jim SAUTER in this weird little foxtrotomagus, touching the french kissing ends of saxaphones, while Donald Miller wheedled over his guitar horrible, terrifying files of numerous sizes, possibly COMBING the instrument into submission, pulling out the cord, looking at its tiny siler phallus and bemused, sticking it right back in again, like, a guy with a big dick on top of a woman who wasn't screaming enough. He performed his dead-skull grimace at a table with a wee candle like a San Diego seventies single bar, complete with red and purple cloth samples from Jo-anne fabrics covering the wobbley thing. The Mill, a cog of his name, like a New Bedford spinster, working his foot away at the pedal, producing spindles so frantically for nothing more than a bathroom break and it NEVER CAME. I saw you there in your glasses, and your button down shirt. I saw you leave when Brinkmann came on. I saw you dancing in your tanktop you borbetfaggus. I saw you getting a little fat. I saw you, you, the one who was drinking beer, and thinking really hard about NOISE MUSIC. Oh my god, I love music. Dot. Com. DON AND JIM HAVE BEEN FRIENDS SINCE CHILDHOOD, have you?

I have never been in such awesome pain. But really, I was glad when they finished.

I surely wish I'd been there

Aren't they doing a show with guest saxophonist Bruce Lamont from Yakuza this weekend, too?

I've seen Borbeto the last four times they played NYC. The first time I ever saw them, at Tonic on a Saturday afternoon, the front door was open as I was heading toward the place and I could hear them soundchecking from three blocks away. They're some of the coolest guys you'd ever wanna hang out with, too. Don Dietrich is one cynical, sarcastic fuck.

Donald Miller gets annoyed when you refer to his stuff as noise. But he had Scorces play in his living room (with him playing a solo acoustic set to open) and it was fantastic so he can be as difficult as he wants.

New studio album(!) coming next month on the Dancing Wayang label. LP only, 500 copies. I've heard it; it's great.

Hopefully will be at the screenining of this @ close-up. Don't expect it will be anything approaching critical, just a celeb for the fans

Is this still only seeable in cinemas? Because I doubt I can see it that way. DVD release would be good.
