... are as swooningly romantic and utterly transporting as this? I need some inspiration.

Superpitcher's "The Long Way"

The big 2 pheonix songs - "Everything is Everything" and especially "If I Ever Feel Better" remind me of it.

Not going by sound rather the verbs: swooning, romantic & transporting - Avalanches "Since I Left You"

Now can I hijack the thread and ask if anybody knows when the next Kompakt Pop release will be (which also most likely answer your question).

Jedmond (Jedmond), Monday, 27 September 2004 22:04 (twenty-one years ago)

the next kompakt pop release is the mfa - "the difference it makes" which probably won't be anything like "i think about you"

I've heard the MFA track (it was previously released on Border Community), it is a breezy dubish pop song with vocoder vocals. Much like Oxtongue's "Delight".

Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Wednesday, 29 September 2004 16:18 (twenty-one years ago)

André Kraml's Feel Electric (very good) and Pawel's Grab It (not so much)

Chester Benetton (Andy K), Wednesday, 29 September 2004 16:28 (twenty-one years ago)

nine months pass...
New Heiko Voss full length album out on Firm in September!

Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Monday, 4 July 2005 20:14 (twenty years ago)

one month passes...
Album arrived today, it's bizarre and similiar to the Geiger album. Very kitschy rock/dance with some errr..."funky hip hop" tracks where Heiko apes Bowie.

No tracklisting, but all the tracks from the Call Me Killer 12" are on there, so that release is a good indicator of the album.

Also, "I Think About You" is on here, although it's been overdubbed with faux-Barry White style vocals going "oh, I really love you so much, I care about you, I think about you all the time, yeah baby I do etc."

i bought the album today and it's awful. please do not buy TWO SIDES by HEIKO VOSS cuz you're ears will cry and you're neighbors will laugh at you. the end.

Two sides has really grown on me much like the Geiger album, except Cocain-E, which I loved instantly. Two sides wasn't what I expected, but not all the songs are bad, sort of odd, in a very german pop way.

Can I just lie down and beg for Andre Kraml to release an album, or even better yet a Schad Privat album with production assitance from all of Firm (half old tracks, half new).

Jedmond (Jedmond), Saturday, 24 September 2005 02:09 (twenty years ago)

A Schad Privat album would be nice.

Jacobs (LolVStein), Saturday, 24 September 2005 02:10 (twenty years ago)

Biz, you can't say I didn't warn you!

Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Saturday, 24 September 2005 02:17 (twenty years ago)

Jacobs (LolVStein), Saturday, 24 September 2005 02:59 (twenty years ago)

looking for some bass?

rio natsume, Saturday, 24 September 2005 03:04 (twenty years ago)

rio natsume, Saturday, 24 September 2005 03:06 (twenty years ago)

Actually I think a joint Schaeben & Voss ft. Schad Privat album would be the most fab. If they could live up to their mindblowing live performance.
