i loved this one.

learnt lots of stuff.

though the complete whitewash of all the problems being dropped on the ex-mangers shoulders was a little harsh.

despite the fact the guy was a total tosser of the highest order ..

twas indeed good tv.

Damn! The only one in this series I've actually remembered to watch was the Ice-T one last week (which ruled). Did all of the former Stone Roses participate in the programme then?

M Carty (mj_c), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 11:41 (twenty-one years ago)

no.

only Mani of the classic lineup - who was typically ace.

i had hoped that Reni would come out of his non-verbal state re Stone Roses. you just knew that Ian and John would not have been involved.

.. though they did get Andy Couzens on screen who was pretty cool and insightful actually.

i am annoyed i missed the hip hop one. though with it being BBC3 i am sure they will be repeated and/or upgraded to BBC2 ?

Did anyone check out reni's band The Rub a couple of years back? Perhaps my biggest dissapointment at a gig ever, like a pissed up sixth form thin lizzy. Stick to the sticks dude!

Does BBC put the actual documentary online?

King Korn Karn, Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:35 (twenty-one years ago)

What do you think this is, 2104?

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

wasn't there some big thing about a year ago about how the BBC was putting their entire archives online?

King Korn Karn, Tuesday, 28 September 2004 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

That was somewhat misunderstood/misannounced.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 17:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Care to elaborate???

King Korn Karn, Tuesday, 28 September 2004 19:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't remember the details now, but I think Greg Dyke was announcing that that was a direction the BBC wanted to move in, but made it sound like it was jsut around the corner. There'd be a major bandwidth issue to sort out first, quite apart from the nightmare of all the rights issues.

I wish this was being shown in the US.

Maybe there's a bittorrent up at http://uknova.com or somewhere. I don't know about such things.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 20:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Nope, it's not on http://uknova.com , at least not yet. But they do have a "Blood on the Turntables" about the Sex Pistols and "Hiphop Wars."

King Korn Karn, Wednesday, 29 September 2004 18:18 (twenty-one years ago)

oh cool
