Like in Champu from How To Kill The DJ, or Infected By The Poison (bk and nick sentience mix anyway) - it's amazing! I think it's my favourite sound in music right now. What is it? What are some records that have it?

Oh god it's not bongos is it?

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 20:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I have no idea at all what bongos sound like!

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Tuesday, 28 September 2004 20:18 (twenty-one years ago)

It's like the foreground noise in both records I think.

I think I know the sound to which you're referring, Gravel Puzzleworth. It's an electronic horse going by, accidentally recorded by the robot engineer.

you been listening to my mix cd gravel?

Yeah, I just got it back off a mate whose house I left it at - it's really good!

The clip clops are like the main thing on the track, no? I am sure I am not imagining this.

I want answers!

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 29 September 2004 11:05 (twenty-one years ago)

i haev a question too. the main title theme from rambo ii starts somethign like this: strings- dengdengdeng - omg electric rattlesnake asault. now i dont liek strings or ratlesnakes, but the electronic dengdengdeng sound i liek a lot. so what other music has that sound? it strieks me as very 80s.

Hang on Gravel - I think I hear it! It's not that obvious though. A sort of short high-pitched "didididididididididdidiididi" thingy. I thing it's just a short high pitched sine wave.

dog latin (dog latin), Wednesday, 29 September 2004 11:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay I just risked banning from the university network and I think it is the same thing as in the first few seconds of ageispolis, yeah!

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 29 September 2004 11:46 (twenty-one years ago)

It's the "didididididididididdidiididi" thing, yeah! I was terrified I was imagining it.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 29 September 2004 11:48 (twenty-one years ago)

More records with short high pitched sine wave treble lines plz!

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 29 September 2004 11:49 (twenty-one years ago)
