also -- TONITE, THURSDAY 9/30 --> watch them presidential debates. There's a debate watching party tonite @ FUNHOUSE (North 4th, between Bedford & Driggs in Williamsburg) starting at 8pm. They'll be projecting the images on 6 walls with surround sound. AFTER you watch the debates, help get that bastard Bush out of office by speaking up and not letting the corporate news companies dictate to folks what to think - call-in to radio and tv talk shows and voice your opinion, and -- importantly --> GO TO THE NEWS COMPANIES' ONLINE POLLS right after the debates end and register your opinion. no matter what the mainstream news is choosing not to report - JOHN KERRY has the momentum now in the presidential race. Several national polls have come out showing that Kerry has closed Bush's post-convention lead and has this race tied - even conservative pollsters like FoxNews and the Economist say so. And that's with polling that (a.) doesn't call anyone who only has a cell phone, and (b.) doesn't call anyone who isn't home during the dinner hour. Imagine how many more for anti-Bush voters are out there that aren't being counted. So the momentum is on Kerry's side - but it's likely to stay close right up to the end - so it'll all be about how many voters from each side actually turnout this year. Remind everyone you know to register and vote, but also - it's important that as many folks as possible donate to the Democratic Party's get out the vote effort by **midnight tonight**. What they get by October 1st (midnight tonight) will determine how they they can budget their resources for the last stretch. We need to get as many folks as possible to the polls on election day.
