I'm seeing the Furnaces show at Maxwell's. I'm not sure if it's sold out, but I have an extra ticket if anyone wants one.

Boris?! Fuuuuck. Why am i going home this weekend?

DOPESMOKER (smile), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I seen Wrangler Brutes play last halloween in providence at the greatest show ever gave (thinking about it right now, I want to explode because I know no show will ever come close to it again . . .ever (RIP OAK TROY). They rule and will probably dress ridiculously, plus xBxRx and Japanther are pretty good, too.

ainsley harriott, Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

More info on the Boris show, please...like a venue, maybe? Thanks.

go to asterik thing for the awesome wrangler brutes. mmr is pretty fun, too. I think this place will have the funnest costumes and crowd, in general.

Magic City (ano ano), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 19:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Not on Halloween, but two days B4: Wasteland @ TONIC.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 21:25 (twenty-one years ago)

DEFINITELY see Souled American.

Wow I wish I was in NYC for that. Are they touring???

Roger Fidelity (Roger Fidelity), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 28 October 2004 01:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Go to Uncle Joe's Bar in Jersey City, NJ.

Local bands 'dressing up' as other, famous bands.

Booze will be flowing freely.

154 First Street at Marin Blvd., downtown Jersey City.

I'd go to see XbXrX, but then again, I'd think I should be boycotting them after witnessing Hawnay Troof. God they sucked. Why couldn't XbXrX have come to Australia instead.

You could always go and get mugged...

Sasha (sgh), Thursday, 28 October 2004 03:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, i'm thinking xbxrx, though i'm not crazy about the little wrangler brutes I've heard. it sounds like a good time.

rebecca s (rebecca S), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:09 (twenty-one years ago)

ainsley harriot: e-mail me sometime; i used to live in providence & hang out at oak/troy/39manton/atlantic mills area... that halloween show last year was probably the most amazing thing, yr right. i have mike ts flyer for it on my wall.

I'm probably going to the wrangler brutes show on halloween for a while, but i might skip out on it and go see skygreen leopards/double leopards/jackie o motherfucker @ La Nortena.. interestingly, brutes & JOMF are both playing together tonight. i don't remember the address. there was a thread about it.. i may hit that up, may not.

Ian John50n (orion), Friday, 29 October 2004 18:47 (twenty-one years ago)

rebecca s (rebecca S), Saturday, 30 October 2004 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

cutty (mcutt), Saturday, 30 October 2004 14:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Ian John50n (orion), Saturday, 30 October 2004 18:53 (twenty-one years ago)

i think i'm going to be MONSTER LASS. or maybe VAMPIRE LASS.

rebecca s (rebecca S), Saturday, 30 October 2004 19:25 (twenty-one years ago)

YES.

cutty (mcutt), Saturday, 30 October 2004 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

i am going to be "lazy guy with his roommate's extra facepaint"

Ian John50n (orion), Saturday, 30 October 2004 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

anybody know how much tickets are to xbxrx/wrangler brutes?

rebecca s (rebecca S), Sunday, 31 October 2004 02:11 (twenty-one years ago)

LET'S HEAR IT FOR RAH BRAS! WHAT A SET!
i'd never heard them. what a wonderful Halloween treat.
who else went to this?

rebecca s (rebecca S), Monday, 1 November 2004 16:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I was there! Rah Bras were awesome, as always... I kinda missed most of the rest of the bands because it was very very crowded and I was busy flirting with gurls and drinking beer. I saw the first band, and a few songs of the Wrangler Brutes.. fuck Japanther; they are terrible. I heard but did not see XBXRX.

Ian John50n (orion), Monday, 1 November 2004 21:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Those of you who missed Rah bras, be very VERY SORRY. do not be sorry if you missed mr. japanther's sweaty-mugged idiot rants. we left during xbxrx-- not great, assuming it was xbxrx who had an indian chief and a bearded man. all were good for dancing, though, a much room as there was ([--]) to do so.
