Undoubtedly but now we will have to watch him play a medley of his best known songs and watch a newly released greatest hits sale up the charts.
I'm sure theres much more deserving cases for a lifetime achievment award than 'sir' bob.

Who hasn't received one of these that perhaps should have?
Led Zep? Sabbath? Pet Shop Boys?

Well it's not as if they're giving the award to him for his musical achievements, is it, so it doesn't make a lot of sense apart from the usual "well, he'll turn up, won't he?" award ceremonies unwritten policy.
