originally a member of DAF - he's all over their (imo) best lp - 'die kleinen und die bosen', he then founded liaisons dangereuses who recorded probably thee greatest techno lp of all time. he then went a bit odd and refused to release any more records before reappearing in (the much underrated and about as far removed from his previous bands as it is possible to get) crime and the city solution. he then seemed to vanish again only to reappear in the early 90's making so-so techno records.

He was also in the art-group Minus Delta T - what was he called when he released so-so techno records in the '90's? I didn't know any of those. He was among my favourite synthesizer players, with Dieter Moebius and Richard Pinhas, etc.. Had he been ill?

he recorded for tresor as chrislo. i hadn't heard of minus delta t. must investigate.

he died in his sleep but had been fighting a long battle with alcoholism hich may or may not be related. he was 48.

i just remembered that he also put out a techno / trance record on mute under the artist name armed response. i seem to recall it was quite good.
