What's the story behind "My Boyfriend's In Killdozer" by Young Fresh Fellows?

What was the context? Good natured jibe or straight up slam? Was there precedent? Maybe an honest-to-goodness feud with Killdozer, or, perhaps more to the point, the girlfriend of one of the guys in Killdozer? Or is it just a "We're The Replacements" kinda thing? Maybe I oughta ask Peter Davis...

sounds to me like just poking fun at some scenester gal. But, hey, it'd be great to hear the real story. Always loved that song.

Or maybe someone in the Fellows was home sick with a toothache, and while laying on the couch watching TV,

fell in love with one of the actors from the early 70s horror flick KILLDOZER.

eight months pass...
The band played the old O'cayz corral in Madison , WI. Bartender was Mike Gerald's (of Killdozer) girlfriend. Somehow it came out of that night, which was a slow night, if I remember correctly.
