Strangely this song doesn't seem to have been discussed on ILM yet. Yet it is a gorgeous product, like a magical cake that reveals yet more layers after each rich & delicious slice is cut & greedily consumed.

Perhaps The Producer should be re-christened The Alchemist.

It seems fashionable to follow with an immediate self-penned answer.

I love all the guitar tracks, lots of different effects resulting in lots of tonal variation. The Hooky-style almost bass guitar line both puzzles & attracts me.

I dreamt that I Dreamt Love Was a Crime was a crime.

Sorry, I missed out a 'that' there, didn't I? I haven't heard the record in question, but I hope it's got some really heavy riffing on it.

I think, Mr Moore, you're slightly guilty of running your finger around the icing bowl before we've even had a chance to turn the oven on. As the chap in the Grolsch ad says... "this effervescent pop masterpiece isn't ready yet!"

It's all in the writing and performance, anyhow. I just press Record.

Perhaps my guilt is understandable, seeing as one of the confectioners kept proffering that icing bowl!

The finished cake will be something to marvel at all the more then.

Credit is also due to the engineer who ensures the catering equipment is ready, available & in optimum condition for the baking.

Alchemy = base [heavy] metal into gold [discs].

So Peter, you *will* get your riffs!

This song is about not being able to get one's leg over, isn't it? It's very good, although obviously a man like me can't really relate to the lyrics. I am the Slobbo of Love, and I'm looking at my watch.
