Only have a bog standard "best of" comp, alas, but does have "Indian
Rope Man" on it. OK but very '68. "Road To Cairo" pretty good but
David Ackles' own version much better.
What I can recommend unreservedly, however, are the two solo "pop"
albums of hers I know of (although she's done an awful lot more in
the Improv/free jazz field): "1969" - lovely pastoral stuff, like a
female "Astral Weeks." "Sunset Glow" is from '75 and is a
fantastically underrated record; again, largely low-key (Brian
Godding on guitar; best performance of his on record outside the
first Blossom Toes album and Westbrook's "Cortege") but with a few
Buckley-type freeform blows with her husband Keith Tippett (she's
credited as Julie Tippetts on the sleeve). If you like Robert
Wyatt's "Rock Bottom" you'll love this - very similar imagery and
trajectory.
Both of these are now out on CD and Rhythm Records in Camden High
Street always have them in stock (or try Minus Zero off the
Portobello Road).
Best guest appearance of Ms Driscoll/Tippetts on someone else's
record is on Carla Bley's "Tropic Appetites." Superb singing
throughout, and one of my favourite ballads "Caucasian Bird Riffles"
which Elvis Costello must have studied before making his own
recording of "Shipbuilding" and which I'd love someone to cover (the
Manics, maybe?).

The only album I know by them is one I borrowed from a friend once. I
don't know what it's called, but it's from about 1966 or 67 and has
brief sound effects interludes between the tracks. I thought it was
pretty good.

Love their take on "This Wheel's On Fire":
But much wincing at their efforts in the Monkees' "33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee" special.
