'house of god' is the greatest record ever made. dead serious.

you are right. it has been blowing my mind for 19 years and won't ever stop.
i've just put it on a mix i've done for R&S. here's what i wrote in the notes -
DHS - House of God. Licensed to R&S from New York's Hangman label and subsequently licensed and remixed perhaps more than any other record in techno history (it was even the basis for a number one hit single), this is in my top 5 records ever, no contest. Completely original, hypnotic, slightly unhinged and sounding like nothing that came before or after it (apart from the thousands of records that sampled it) I used to only ever play it out if it was a particularly amazing night and I felt the crowd deserved a special treat. I was quite militant back then although there is still the odd record i do that with today.

Does anybody remember a mix of this that had samples of Bill Clinton from a press conference talking about the Lewinsky scandal or am I dreaming things.

I was more of a '#9 bad acid' man myself but I'm with you in this DHS 2 x 12" is basically immortal music

i have never heard any of the other trax. might have to go for a dig around and see if i can score a copy.
the remixes that poker flat put out last year were a bit uninspiring!
incidentally stir, when is that R&S thing coming out? i googled up a tracklist and it looks gooooood.
